Agius Design and Interiors are delighted to showcase our latest design triumph in Pyrmont. It was a privilege to be asked to work on the second renovation in this prestigious apartment block. Our clients’ wanted to craft a home for their family that truly reflected their personal style, having experienced of the original Pyrmont 1 project. A major aspect of the brief was the creation of more storage and useable spaces for their busy lives. In this 3 bedroom apartment, we set out to create a contemporary and comfortable haven that beautifully marries form and function.
Elevating Everyday Living
This renovation epitomizes thoughtful design, combining bespoke finishes with functional solutions to enhance daily life. The transformation includes:
Bespoke Storage Solutions: A custom walk-in robe with a fold away doors, shoe rack, lighting & power. Reimagined cabinetry in the constrained laundry space was designed to optimize the feeling of space with improved aesthetics.
A Stylish Scandinavian Aesthetic: Reflecting the clients' preferred style, the interiors exude warmth and simplicity with the juxtaposition of curved and straight edge lines, neutral palettes, timber textures, and of course layering of different elements.
Updated Kitchen and Bathrooms: The kitchen now boasts a sleek design with repurposed space and feature stone benchtops & splashback. In the bathrooms the ambient lighting and finishes were remodelled and refined.
Rejuvenated Living & Bedroom Spaces: We removed existing wall papers and mirrors throughout and replaced wall surfaces with limewash texture paint and grasscloth or classic chic paper to the walls.
New lighting throughout, being a combination of accent, directional and high quality ambient lighting, is the element that shows the tour de force of carefully curated design creating inviting areas of living.
Enhanced Outdoor Living: The deck—with its breathtaking Marina views—has been refreshed to serve as a serene retreat.
Key Spaces Living Area
Kitchen
The concept in the kitchen redesign was to group all food storage together on the left hand side. Removing the old air conditioning unit enabled placement of the integrated fridge and an ample corner pantry. The planning gave effect to a stunning run of splash back in Cosentino-Dekton stone which was repeated in the island bench and waterfalls.

Design Tips from the Pyrmont 2 Project
Maximize Storage with Style: Incorporate bespoke solutions like walk-in robes and multifunctional furniture to blend practicality with elegance.
Choose a Cohesive Aesthetic: A unified design—like the Scandinavian-inspired elements in this project—creates harmony and enhances the sense of space.
Repurpose with Purpose: Find creative ways to change awkward, under utilized space as we did in the chic storage area. New hardware can help.
